ATTENTION

The Congressional District 14 boundaries used for the August 18, 2026 Special General Election are different from the boundaries being used for the November 3, 2026 General Election.

The November 3rd Election is being conducted using the newly redrawn congressional district boundaries that took effect following the passage of Proposition 50. However, the August 18 Special General Election to fill the remainder of the vacant term must be conducted using the former 14th Congressional District boundaries that were in place at the time the term began.

As a result, some voters may notice that their congressional district for the Special Election differs from the district used during the November 3 General Election.

The accompanying images show the areas impacted by these boundary changes, along with voter materials to better educate voters. 

 

Castro Valley Area

Voters in the highlighted red area will receive a ballot for the Congressional District 14 August 18th Special General Election. However, on their November 3rd General Election Ballot, they are eligible to vote for the new, redistricted Congressional District 10.

Dublin Area

Voters in the highlighted red area will NOT receive a ballot for the Congressional District 14 August 18 Special General Election. However, they did receive a November 3rd General Election Ballot for the newly redistricted Congressional District 14.

Fremont Area

Voters in the highlighted red area will NOT receive a ballot for the Congressional District 14 August 18 Special General Election. However, they did receive a November 3rd General Election Ballot for the newly redistricted Congressional District 14.
